As the world leader in Alzheimer research and support, we rely on individuals dedicated to finding preventions, treatments and, eventually, a cure for Alzheimer dementia through the advancement of research and enhanced care and support for individuals, their families and caregivers. At our National Office, we are seeking a Planned Gifts professional who has a proven record of developing and managing programs for planned gifts on a national scale. The right candidate will bring a passion for the cause, exceptional collaborative skills and experience with a chapter (affiliate) organizational structure.
We will rely on you to:
- Establish aggressive revenue goals and expense projection for Planned Gifts programs and develop and implement strategies to meet them.
- Lead and direct Planned Gifts department in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of donors and prospects capable of giving outright gifts of $200,000 or more for specific projects.
- Lead and direct Planned Gifts Department in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of high net worth deferred giving donors.
- Build a stable fundraising base through increased membership in the Founders Society.
- Coordinate Planned Gifts program activities with Program and Development staff and volunteers.
- Develop and implement a prospect identification program in conjunction with chapters.
- Provide staff support and education to the appropriate Planned Gifts Sub-Committee.
- Manages staff and establishes their performance goals and objectives.
- Leads, develops, coaches and counsels staff in the achievement of their goals.
- Assist chapters in implementing a planned gift program, working with the Associations charitable gift annuity program and, in working with their donors, act in an advisory capacity to such chapters.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree required. Course work preferably in areas of communications, marketing, counseling, finance.
- Professional training in planned giving or law
- Five years demonstrated success in development with planned giving experience required.
- Supervisory experience
